Who we are
Jessie Mac Beauty is a hair extension, brow and lash studio at 23 Montague Drive, Jordan Springs NSW 2747. This policy explains how we handle your personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you contact us, request a hair consultation or book, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the details of your enquiry, and, for hair consultations, the photos of your hair you choose to upload. When you visit the site, Google Analytics records how the site is used (pages viewed, device and approximate location), not your name or contact details.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare for and run your appointment, recommend the right treatment, follow up about your booking, and run and improve the business. We don't send you marketing unless you ask us to, and you can opt out at any time.
Bookings and payments
Appointments are booked and paid through Square. Square handles your booking details and card payments under its own privacy policy; we never see or store your full card number.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run the studio: Square (bookings and payments), Surge Unlimited, which runs our website and the system that receives and stores your enquiries (hosted with Vercel and a secure database), and Google Analytics (site usage). We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, for example in the United States.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that Google Analytics needs to count visits and show which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
How we keep it safe
Your information is stored with providers that use encryption and access controls, and only we and the people who run our website can see it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and consultation details, including hair photos, for as long as we need them to look after you, and booking records for as long as tax and business record-keeping rules require. After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete your photos or details at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at hello@jessiemacbeauty.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please email us first so we can put it right. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it last changed.
